Clive Benney's new book is the wonderful story of a young miner from St. Agnes who, in 1906, bought a postcard camera. For the next 6 years he photographed events, people and views in the St.Agnes, Trevellas and Perranporth area.

It is a fascinating story of Sammy Solway, which includes hundreds of his photographs, most previously unpublished, about how this young man, whose aim was to enhance his mining wages, bought a camera and captured so much otherwise unrecorded history.
